데이터사이언스학과

김지은 교수는 서울대학교 수의과대학을 졸업하고, host-environment interaction에 관심을 가지고 동 대학 자연과학대학의 나노협동과정에서 나노독성학을 주제로 박사학위를 취득하였습니다. 박사 후 연구는 캐나다 토론토대학교 산하 SickKids 병원의 Stem Cell and Developmental Biology Department에서 수행하였으며, 장내미생물과 같은 환경요인이 생애초기 발달에 미치는 영향을 세포 신호전달 조절 기전 관점에서 연구하였습니다. 특히 장질환과 연계된 장-면역-줄기세포의 상호작용을 중심으로 기초 생물학적 기전을 탐구해왔습니다.
최근에는 생애초기 장내미생물이 brain-gut axis에 미치는 영향을 실험동물 모델을 활용하여 분석하고 있으며, 자폐 스펙트럼 장애(ASD) 모델을 기반으로 한 신경발달 및 장-뇌 연계 기전 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 주요 연구 관심 분야는 실험동물 모델을 통한 생애초기 환경 노출 연구, 장내미생물 및 stem cell niche의 발달생물학적 역할 규명입니다.

Prof. Ji-Eun Kim graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Seoul National University and earned her Ph.D. in nanotoxicology through the Interdisciplinary Program of Nano Science and Technology in the College of Natural Sciences at the same university, driven by her interest in host-environment interactions.
She completed her postdoctoral training at the Stem Cell and Developmental Biology Department at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), University of Toronto, where she investigated how environmental factors, such as the gut microbiota, influence early developmental processes through the regulation of cellular signaling pathways. Her research focused on elucidating the fundamental biological mechanisms underlying the interactions between the gut, immune system, and stem cells in the context of early-life intestinal diseases.

Currently, her research explores how early-life gut microbiota affect the brain-gut axis using experimental animal models. She is particularly interested in studying neurodevelopmental and gut-brain mechanisms using autism spectrum disorder (ASD) models.
Her main research interests include early-life environmental exposures using animal models, the developmental biology of the gut microbiota, and the role of the stem cell niche.

뇌파를 활용한 뇌-컴퓨터 인터페이스 (Brain-Computer Interface) 개발 및 신경 및 정신질환 분석 연구로 KAIST 바이오및뇌공학과에서 석사 및 박사학위를 받았으며, 2020년부터 가톨릭대학교에서 BRAIN Lab (Biomedical Research based on Artificial Intelligence and Neural Engineering Laboratory)을 운영하고 있다. 
서울아산병원과 함께 뇌전증 환자의 뇌파 분석을, KAIST와 함께 수면 뇌파 분석 및 뇌파 기반 로봇팔 제어를 연구하고 있다. 
또한 시선추적을 기반으로 한 디지털 심리치료, VR을 활용한 HCI (Human-Computer Interaction), 웨어러블 생체신호 분석 등의 연구를 수행하고 있다.

Dong-Hwa Jeong received his Master's and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Bio and Brain Engineering at KAIST, focusing on the development of brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) and EEG analysis of neurological and psychological disorders. Since 2020, he has been leading the BRAIN Lab (Biomedical Research based on Artificial Intelligence and Neural Engineering Laboratory) at the Catholic University of Korea.

이오준 교수는 2021년부터 가톨릭대학교 인공지능학과 조교수로 재직 중이며, 데이터사이언스학과에서 JA교수직도 함께 맡고 있습니다. 2019년 중앙대학교에서 컴퓨터공학 박사학위를, 2015년 단국대학교에서 소프트웨어학 학사학위를 취득하였습니다. 가톨릭대학교에 부임하기 전에는 2019년부터 2021년까지 포항공과대학교 미래IT융합연구원에서 전임연구원으로 재직하였습니다.

이오준 교수의 주된 연구 분야는 그래프 마이닝 및 그래프 학습으로, 최근에는 그래프 신경망 모델을 집중적으로 연구하고 있습니다. 또한, 이러한 모델들을 분자 구조 분석, 소셜 미디어 분석, 기상 데이터 분석, 교통 흐름 분석 등 다양한 비정형 데이터 분석에 활용하고 있습니다.

이오준 교수는 2024년 8월 기준으로 SCI(E)급 국제 학술지에 32편의 논문을 게재했으며, 국제 학술대회에서 37편의 논문을 발표하였습니다. 또한, AAAI, IJCAI와 같은 저명한 국제 학술대회 및 AIJ, IEEE IoT-J, IPM, JOI, FGCS 등 최상위 국제 학술지에 연구 성과를 발표하며 연구의 질적 우수성을 인정받고 있습니다.

O-Joun Lee has been an assistant professor at the Catholic University of Korea, Rep. of Korea since September 2021. He received Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Chung-Ang University in 2019. He also received B.Eng. degree in Software Science from Dankook University in 2015. He was a full-time researcher at Pohang University of Science and Technology, Rep. of Korea from September 2019 to August 2021. His research interests include graph mining, graph representation learning, and graph neural networks. He has applied graph mining models and methods to various unstructured data, such as social media, bibliographic data, medical knowledge bases, traffic flow data, molecular structures, etc.
